Twitter Friends is a nice free social extension for Joomla with which you can display your Twitter Friends and Followers on your Joomla website. Theo van der Sluijs, the author, realized it with a fast loading source code. You can download it via GitHub. It works with Joomla 2.5 and the earlier editions, Joomla 1.6 and 1.7.
AS Template 002033, by ASTemplates, is very minimal and comes in a black design. Its layout offers 3 columns, 50 full collapsible module positions and a jQuery dropdown menu. You can display your favorite image by the pre-installed image slideshow module, which comes with 16 nice slider effects. A nice feature is the delivered Google Map plugin. If you want to use this template with all features, try the commercial version. Template 002033 is native to Joomla 2.5.
